"Reconcile with God and man, and repent"

Three Crosses - Criminals who died with Jesus ************************************************ Jesus Christ did not die on the cross alone. Usually, we remember a cross. At that time, the Romans way of execution was crucifixion. The penalty under the law, as per the Bible, was stoning. People at that time often might have seen the death of people on the cross. On that day of  Passover, that is, the 14th of Abib, passers-by passing through Golgotha from Jerusalem would have seen three criminals hanged according to the custom on that day. When they have gone home, they might have said, “I saw three people hanging on the crosses today.”  “Three men - three crosses.” In a way, all three people are seen as the same. All have the same pain, the same thirst, the same heat. They were seen as an object of amusement. Did the Roman soldiers nailed all three accidentally? Or a fulfillment of the Bible verse “counted as one of the wicked”? Or to shame Jesus too much? Or did they i...

Forgive ******* 'When they had come to the place called  Golgotha , there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left'. Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:33, 34). Jesus is now going to the Father. The 'people of the promise' did not understand God's eternal purpose - the people who observe the Sabbath and the festivals. Therefore, He looked at them and said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”  1) Asking for forgiveness for the suffe...

"Sorrowful Departure of a Young Man"       ************************** Jesus Christ interacted with different people in the world and met their needs, cured diseases, forgave sins and gave life to them again. Many followed to see, touch, and hear the living words of Jesus. 1) What kind of person came: In this passage of scripture, a man came to Jesus with a supreme need. He seems to have all the worldly need-blessings. He has no shortage. He who studied the Scriptures; He who follows the Scriptures; One who has a lot of wealth; respected by all; A person of social status; A righteous man. An 'Emptiness' might have been in him. He comes to Jesus. He called Jesus a "Good teacher". He received him with love and conversed with him. Jesus must have appeared to him as "the good teacher." If I go to Him 'He will give me a teaching; He would speak a philosophy; he would say a law; he would have thought that it would be enough to follow those. An...
