The Canaanite woman  (Mark 7:24-30, Matthew 15:21-28) ************************ In our families, church, and society, we are given children created in the image of God. They are addicted to bad habits and have lost their self-thinking, and they are unable to fulfill the purpose set by God in the work for the Kingdom of God. Families are broken into pieces when they get caught in the devil's grip and go astray. This event is written for us to see how nervous parents are. This daughter, too, has lost her youth, lost her purpose in life, and is reduced to a pitiable condition. This incident makes it clear to us that the solution is only Jesus. 1. Jesus visits Tyre and Sidon From there, He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And He entered a house and wanted no one to know it, but He could not be hidden. (Mark 7:24). (In the preceding verses, the Pharisees and Scribes argued with Jesus about many traditions.) Jesus left Jerusalem to be alone and came to the cities of Tyre an...

Lazarus - One who died twice ************************************* 1. Experiences of Lazarus Bethany Lazarus, in the Bible, is a strange man. Lazarus passed through death-burial-resurrection. He who knew what death was then went to Paradise and stayed there for 4 days, renounced his glory with the Father, and came back to this sinful world. After wandering the golden streets, he returned to this world full of suffering. No one but Lazarus could have known the extent of the 'glory with which Jesus gave himself up' and came to this world. Lazarus did not speak about these things. He did not speak of the golden street in Paradise, the pearly gate, the marble-like river, the music of the angels, and the bright angels surrounding the throne. Apostle Paul also had a similar experience (2 Cor 12:2-4). Lazarus would have decided not to say these things. Even though the resurrected Lazarus lived in this world, his heart might have longed for that Paradise . 2. What is meant by "Rel...

Aaron's two sons.  (Lev. 8, 9, 10) ****************** Nadab and Abihu were the first two of 4 sons born to Aaron and Elisheba. After Aaron, these two sons were the high priests. Aaron had 4 sons. They were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar (1 Chronicles 24:1). And God said unto Moses, "Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, the anointing oil, a bull as the sin offering, two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread; and gather all the congregation together at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.” (Lev. 8:2,3). God separated Aaron and his sons for priestly service and called them to the door of the Tabernacle to be anointed. There, Moses bathed them with water. And he put upon Aaron the underclothes, the girdle, the mantle, the ephod, and the strange girdle. On top of that, he placed the breastplate and the Urim Thummim, put the garment on his head, and tied a golden crown. Then Moses took the anointing oil and sanctified the Tabernacle, the altar, and the laver....

"Repent, don't harden your mind."

Two Prophets   ************ One is  Jonah , and the ot her is   Nahum . Both men went to Nineveh, the capital of the Assyrian Empire, and prophesied  150 years apart. One is the message of salvation, and the other is the message of judgment. The Assyrian Empire started in 1354 BC. It lasted for about 750 years. It was destroyed in 612  BC . In the book of Jonah, we see that creation (nature) is under God's obedience. But in the Book of Nahum, we can see that the history of the world and even nature is under His control. In the book of Jonah, we can learn that if we repent, God will also change His mind. In the book of Nahum, if we harden our hearts, God will also harden ; God's wrath will indeed be fulfilled. The book of Nahum is like God's judgment at the end of the world, as in the Book of Revelation. Jonah went to Nineveh, the Assyrian capital, in 770  BC . In 722  BC , the 10 tribes in North Canaan (the land of Israel) we...
