Lazarus - One who died twice

1. Experiences of Lazarus
Bethany Lazarus, in the Bible, is a strange man. Lazarus passed through death-burial-resurrection. He who knew what death was then went to Paradise and stayed there for 4 days, renounced his glory with the Father, and came back to this sinful world. After wandering the golden streets, he returned to this world full of suffering. No one but Lazarus could have known the extent of the 'glory with which Jesus gave himself up' and came to this world. Lazarus did not speak about these things. He did not speak of the golden street in Paradise, the pearly gate, the marble-like river, the music of the angels, and the bright angels surrounding the throne. Apostle Paul also had a similar experience (2 Cor 12:2-4). Lazarus would have decided not to say these things. Even though the resurrected Lazarus lived in this world, his heart might have longed for that Paradise.
2. What is meant by "Religion"
Jesus Christ resurrected three people who died in His ministry. Nobody said anything about the next world where they went after their death. Besides Lazarus, we do not read about them in the scriptures after they were resurrected. We read in John 12:1,2 that the resurrected Lazarus was with Jesus in a supper. The climax of Jesus Christ's ministry was the raising of Lazarus. Due to this, the Jewish religious leaders there at that time planned to kill Jesus. They also intended to kill Lazarus, who had risen from the dead. (John 12:11). "Religion" has always had a very cruel heart. Jesus Christ did not come to establish religion. Those who were saved and accepted Jesus were called "disciples." It was the world that gave the name "Christians." In Tamil, it is beautifully named as "Matham" -
"Matham" means "addiction" - a kick, an intoxication, like opium. Kills in the end. Jesus came to save the world.
3. Power of Jesus
Jesus said, "For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so, the Son gives life to whom He will." (John 5:21). Jesus said again, "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice" (John 5:28). By raising Lazarus alive, Jesus proved that He can resurrect everyone at His second coming. Jesus said, "I have the power to lay it (My life) down, and I have the power to take it (My life) again." (John 10:18). "Therefore My Father loves Me because I lay down My life that I may take it again." (John 10:17). Jesus was given this exclusive authority by the Father.
4. Jesus raising Lazarus
As Jesus hung on the cross, He cried out with a loud voice, "Father, 'into Your hands, I commit My spirit.' Having said this, He breathed His last." (Luke 23:46) On the third day, He rose again in body, having Spirit and body joined.
In the case of Lazarus, the Jewish authorities saw this. When Jesus came to the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus said, "Take away the stone."
Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days." (John 11:39). They took away the stone. And Jesus lifted His eyes and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me." He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!" (John 11:41, 43). "Then the dead man came out". This news immediately reached the chief priests and Pharisees. They convened a council and planned to kill Jesus.
5. Lazarus' Status for Four Days
Where was Lazarus these four days? In the parable of 'Lazarus - and the rich man,' their life in this world and the life after death is given (Luke 16:19-31). When one dies in the world, breathing stops, the heartbeat stops, and the body starts decaying. These things happen to the body even if we don't want them to. But what happens to the Spirit? The scriptures say that the body is a tent - a covering (2 Cor.5:4) where the true man lives. Paul says, "I want to leave this tent and be with God. 'Human death is the 'separation of body and spirit.' They separate themselves. Spirit and body together are living life. What happens to the Spirit when it dies? When Jesus died on the cross, He said, "Father, 'into Your hands, I commit My spirit.'" (Luke 23:46). He did not say, 'I commit Myself or My body.' He committed His "spirit" part to God. Joseph of Arimathea took control of the body. This is a temporary separation.
6. What is Resurrection
On the third day, Jesus rose again, body and Spirit joined together. We see that Jesus did this to three people in His earthly life. He did this in the case of Lazarus even after his body had decayed - 'because He Himself is the resurrection and the life.'
There is a 'short or long' interval between death and resurrection. Then, the Spirit and the body join together. Is there consciousness or not? Where shall we be in this intervening period? Let's see what happens.
7. The Paradise
Jesus hung on the cross between two criminals. A criminal said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." (Luke 23:42). And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." (Luke 23:43). He asked about the 'Kingdom of God.' Jesus promised 'Paradise.' 'Paradise' is a 'Persian' word meaning 'a garden - a happy environment - a King's garden.' (as the Garden of Eden). John 14:2 Jesus says, "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you." "I go to prepare a place for you" refers to the 'Kingdom of God' - Jesus describes what is happening after the second coming of Jesus Christ.
! The duration between these is Paradise. !
The Hades is like a 'prison' with a portion of it separated and protected. In the parable' Lazarus and the rich man,' Lazarus was carried away by angels to Abraham's bosom, and the rich man was in Hades. Old Testament and New Testament saints will be in Abraham's bosom. In Hades, there will be Judas, another criminal, and all those who were disobedient to the WORD. Before Jesus died and was resurrected, "He (Jesus) went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine was waiting patiently in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water." (1 Pet. 3:19,20).
8. The Hades
The Hades is an isolated place of suffering. That is why in the parable, the rich man asked Abraham, "Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame." (Luke 16:24). Remembrance was there about the things happened on earth. 'He requested to send Lazarus to the earth to be a witness to his 5 brothers so that they would be saved from going to hell'. (Luke 16:27). The unfortunate thing is that nothing can be changed after death. It is sealed. Those in the underworld cannot go back to the world or heaven.
9. Death - Sleep
Death is referred to as 'sleep' in many places in the New Testament. It indicates the condition of the body. 'Spirit' does not sleep. Only the body can sleep. The apostle Paul wanted to leave this body and be with God. Paul also writes of being taken up in the Spirit on the day of God. There will be Jesus, Abraham, all the saved, and the angels. Lazarus died in Bethany and was in Paradise with other saints. When Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "Come out, Lazarus," he came out of the tomb with body and Spirit. His body, which had rotten and turned to dust, united with the Spirit again, and he lived. Jesus showed the people that this is the resurrection.

1. லாசருவின் அனுபவங்கள்
வேதாகமத்தில் பெத்தானியா லாசரு ஒரு வித்தியாசமான மனிதன். லாசரு மரணம் - கல்லறையில் அடக்கம் - உயிர்த்தெழுதல் இவைகளின் வழியாகக் கடந்து சென்று அறிந்தவன். மரிப்பது என்ன என்றறிந்து, பின் பரதீசுக்குப்போய் அங்கே 4 நாட்கள் தங்கி, பிதாவோடு இருந்த மகிமையைத் துறந்து, இந்த பாவம் நிறைந்த உலகுக்கு மீண்டும் வந்தவன். பொற்தளமான வீதிகளில் உலாவி பின் இந்த பாடுகள் நிறைந்த உலகுக்கு திரும்பினவன்.இயேசு இந்த உலகத்துக்கு 'அவர் துறந்து வந்த மகிமையின்' அளவை, லாசருவைத்தவிர வேறு யாரும் அறிந்திருக்க முடியாது. லாசரு இவைகளைப் பற்றி வாய் திறக்கவில்லை. பரதீசிலிருந்த தங்கமயமான வீதி, முத்துமயமான வாசல், பளிங்குபோல நதி,தேவதூதர்களின் இசை, சிங்காசனத்தை சுற்றியிருந்த பிரகாசமான தூதர் இவைகளைப்பற்றி அவன் வாய்திறக்கவில்லை. அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பவுலுக்கும் இதைப்போன்ற அனுபவம் உண்டு.(2 கொரி12:2-4). இவைகளை சொல்லக்கூடாது என்று லாசரு முடிவு பண்ணியிருப்பான். உயிர்த்தெழுந்த லாசரு, இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழ்ந்தாலும், அவன் இருதயம் அந்த பரதீசையே வாஞ்சித்திருக்கும்.
2. "மதம்" என்றால் என்ன
இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் ஊழியத்தில் மரித்த மூன்றுபேரை, உயிரோடு எழுப்பினார். அவர்கள் மரித்து சென்ற அடுத்த உலகத்தைப் பற்றி
ஒன்றும் ஒருவரும் சொல்லவில்லை. லாசருவைத்தவிர மற்ற இரண்டுபேரும் உயிரோடு எழும்பினபிறகு அவர்களைப்பற்றி நாம் வேதத்தில் படிக்கவில்லை. உயிர்த்தெழுந்து வந்த லாசரு இயேசுவோடு பந்தி இருந்தான் என்று, யோவான் 12:1,2-ல் படிக்கிறோம்.
இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் ஊழியத்தின் உச்சகட்டம், லாசருவை உயிரோடு எழுப்பியது. இதனால் அக்காலத்தில் அங்கிருந்த யூதமதத்தலைவர்கள், இயேசுவை கொலை செய்யத்திட்டம் போட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் உயிரோடு எழுந்த லாசருவையும் கொலை செய்ய திட்டம் போட்டார்கள்.(யோவா.12:11) 'மதம்' (Religion) எப்பொதுமே மிகவும் கொடூரமான இருதயமுடையது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்து மதத்தை ஏற்படுத்த வரவில்லை. இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டு இயேசுவை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டவர்களை 'சீஷர்கள்' என்றுதான் அழைத்தார்கள். உலகம்தான் "கிறிஸ்தவர்கள்" என்ற பெயரைக்கொடுத்தது. தமிழில் இதற்கு 'மதம்' என்று அழகாகப் பெயர் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 'மதம்' என்றால், 'போதை' - Opium போன்று ஒரு kick, ஒரு intoxication, உண்டாக்கும். முடிவிலே கொல்லும். இயேசு உலகத்தை இரட்சிக்க வந்தார்.
3. இயேசுவின் வல்லமை
இயேசு, "பிதாவானவர் மரித்தோரை எழுப்பி உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறதுபோல, குமாரனும் தமக்குச் சித்தமானவர்களைஉயிர்ப்பிக்கிறார்"( யோவா.5:21)என்றார். இதைக்குறித்து நீங்கள் ஆச்சரியப்படவேண்டாம்: ஏனென்றால் பிரேதக்குழிகளிலுள்ள அனைவரும் அவருடைய சத்தத்தைக் கேட்குங்காலம் வரும்". (யோவ. 5:28). இயேசு லாசருவை உயிரோடு எழுப்பினதின்மூலம், அவருடைய இரண்டாம் வருகையின்போது, எல்லாரையும் உயிர்ப்பிக்கவல்லவர் என்று நிரூபித்தார். இயேசு" ஜீவனைக்கொடுக்கவும் எனக்கு அதிகாரமுண்டு,அதை மறுபடியும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளவும் எனக்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டு"(யோவா.10:18) என்றார். "நான் என் ஜீவனை மறுபடியும் அடைந்து கொள்ளும்படிக்கு அதைக் கொடுக்கிறபடியினால் பிதா என்னில் அன்பாயிருக்கிறார்" (யோவா.10:17). இயேசுவுக்கு இந்த பிரத்தியேக அதிகாரம் பிதாவால் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.
4. லாசருவை இயேசு எழுப்புதல்
இயேசு சிலுவையில் தொங்கும்போது" பிதாவே, உம்முடைய கைகளில் என் ஆவியை ஒப்புவிக்கிறேன் என்று மகா சத்தமாய்க் கூப்பிட்டுச் சொன்னார், இப்படிச் சொல்லி, ஜீவனை விட்டார்."(லூக். 23:46)
மூன்றாம் நாளில் ஆவியும் சரீரமும் இணைத்தவராய் சரீரத்தோடு உயித்தெழுந்தார். லாசரு விஷயத்தில் அன்று யூதமத அதிகாரவர்க்கம் இதை கண்டது. லாசருவின் கல்லறைக்கு வந்த இயேசு "கல்லை எடுத்துப்போடுங்கள்" என்றார். மார்த்தாள் "இப்பொழுது நாறுமே, நாலு நாளாயிற்றே" என்று தடுத்தாள். ( யோவா.11:39). கல்லை எடுத்துப்போட்டார்கள். இயேசு கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து "பிதாவே நீர் எனக்கு செவிகொடுத்தப்படியால் உம்மை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறேன்" என்று சொல்லி "லாசருவே வெளியே வா"( யோவா.11:41,43) என்று உரத்த சத்தமாய் கூப்பிட்டார். 'அப்பொழுது மரித்தவன் வெளியே வந்தான்'. இந்தச்செய்தி பிரதான ஆசாரியருக்கும், பரிசேயருக்கும் உடனே போய் சேர்ந்தது. அவர்கள் ஆலோசனை சங்கத்தை கூட்டி இயேசுவை கொலை செய்ய திட்டமிட்டார்கள்.
5. 4 - நாட்கள் லாசருவின் நிலை
இந்த நான்கு நாட்களும் லாசரு எங்கே இருந்தான்?. 'லாசரு- ஐஸ்வரியவான்' உவமையில் அவர்களது இந்த உலக வாழ்க்கையும், மரித்தபிறகு உள்ள வாழ்க்கையும்கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. (லூக்.16:19-31). உலகில் ஒருவன் மரிக்கும்போது சுவாசிப்பது - நிற்கிறது, இதயத்துடிப்பு -நிற்கிறது, சரீரம் - அழிய ஆரம்பிக்கிறது. நாம் விரும்பாவிட்டாலும் இவைகள் உடலுக்கு ஏற்படுகின்றன. ஆனால் ஆவிக்கு என்ன நடக்கிறது? சரீரம் ஒரு கூடாரம் - ஒரு போர்வை (2கொரி,5:4) அதனுள் உண்மையான மனிதன் வாழ்கிறான் என்று வேதம் சொல்லுகிறது. பவுல் "இந்தக் கூடாரத்தை விட்டு பிரிந்து தேவனோடு இருக்க விரும்புகிறேன்" என்கிறான். மனிதன் மரித்தல் என்பது 'சரீரமும் ஆவியும் பிரிதலே'. அவைகள் தனித்தனியே பிரிந்து விடுகின்றன. ஆவியும் சரீரமும் ஒன்றாக இணைந்து இருப்பது உயிரோடு வாழ்வதாகும். மரிக்கும்போது ஆவிக்கு என்ன நேரிடும்? சிலுவையில் இயேசு மரிக்கும்போது" பிதாவே உம்முடைய கையில் என் ஆவியை ஒப்புவிக்கிறேன்" என(லூக்.23:46) சொன்னாரே அல்லாமல், 'என்னையோ அல்லது என் சரீரத்தையோ ஒப்புவிக்கிறேன்' என்று சொல்லவில்லை. தன்னுடைய" ஆவி" பகுதியை தேவனிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார். அரிமத்திய ஊரானாகிய யோசேப்பு சரீரத்தை தனது கட்டுப்பாட்டில் எடுத்துக்கொண்டான். இது தற்காலிகப் பிரிவே.
6. உயித்தெழுதல் என்றால் என்ன
மூன்றாம் நாளில் ஆவியும் சரீரமும் இணைந்து உயிர்தெழுந்தார். இயேசு தன் உலக வாழ்கையில் மூன்று பேருக்கு இதைச்செய்தார் என்று நாம் பார்க்கிறோம். சரீரம் அழுகிய பிறகும் லாசரு விஷயத்தில்- 'அவரே உயித்தெழுதலும் ஜீவனுமாய் இருப்பதால்' இதைச்செய்தார்.
மரணத்துக்கும் உயித்தெழுதலுக்கும் 'குறுகியதோ- நீண்டதுவோ' ஒரு இடைவெளி உண்டு. பின் ஆவியும் சரீரமும் ஒன்றோடு சேரும்.இந்த இடைப்பட்ட காலத்தில் உணர்வு உண்டா-இல்லையா?-எங்கே இருப்போம்? -என்ன நடக்கும் என பார்ப்போம்.
7. பரதீசு
இயேசு இரண்டு குற்றவாளிகள் மத்தியில் சிலுவையில் தொங்கினார். ஒரு குற்றவாளி," இயேசுவை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, நீர் உம்முடைய இராஜ்ஜியத்தில் வரும்போது அடியேனை நினைத்தருளும் என்றான். (லூக். 23:42). இயேசு அவனுக்கு மறு மொழியாக" இன்றைக்கு நீ என்னுடனேகூடப் பரதீசிலிருப்பாய் என்று மெய்யாகவே உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் " என்றார் (லூக். 23:43). அவன் 'தேவனுடைய இராஜ்ஜியத்தை'க்கேட்டான். இயேசு 'பரதீசை' வாக்குப் பண்ணினார். 'பரதீசு' என்பது ஒரு 'பெர்சிய' வார்த்தை 'ஒரு தோட்டம்- ஒரு சந்தோஷமான சூழல்- ராஜாவின் தோட்டம்'- (ஏதேன் தோட்டம்போல). யோவா.14:2-ல்" என் பிதாவின் வீட்டில் அநேக வாசஸ்தலங்கள் உண்டு, அப்படியில்லாதிருந்தால், நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியிருப்பேன், ஒரு ஸ்தலத்தை உங்களுக்காக ஆயத்தம்பண்ணப்போகிறேன்" என்பது ' தேவனுடைய இராஜ்ஜியத்தைக் குறிப்பிடுவதாகும்"-இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரண்டாம் வருகைக்குப் பிறகு
நடப்பதைக்குறிப்பிடுகிறார்.
!இடைப்பட்டக்காலமே பரதீசாகும்.!
இதில் ஒருபகுதியை பிரித்து பாதுகாக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு "சிறைக்கூடம்" போன்றதுதான் பாதாளம். 'லாசரு-ஐஸ்வரியவான்' உவமையில் லாசரு தேவதூதர்களால் கொண்டு போகப்பட்டு ஆபிரகாம் மடியிலும், ஐஸ்வரியவான் பாதாளத்திலும் இருந்தார்கள். பழைய ஏற்பாட்டு, புதிய ஏற்பாட்டு பரிசுத்தவான்கள் ஆபிரகாம் மடியில் இருப்பார்கள். பாதாளத்தில் யூதாஸ், இன்னொரு குற்றவாளி,மற்றும் வசனத்துக்கு கீழ்படியாதவர்களும் இருப்பார்கள். இயேசு மரித்து உயிர்தெழுதலுக்குமுன் "அந்த ஆவியிலே அவர்(இயேசு)போய்க் காவலிலுள்ள ஆவிகளுக்குப் பிரசங்கித்தார். அந்த ஆவிகள், பூர்வத்திலே நோவா பேழையை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணும் நாட்களிலே, தேவன் நீடிய பொறுமையோடே காத்திருந்தபோது, கீழ்ப்படியாமற் போனவைகள்; அந்தப் பேழையிலே சிலராகிய எட்டுப்பேர்மாத்திரம் பிரவேசித்து ஜலத்தினாலே காக்கப்பட்டார்கள். (1 பேது.3:19,20)
8. பாதாளம்
பாதாளம் ஒரு தனிமைப்படுத்தின துன்பப்படும் இடம். ஆகையால்தான் உவமையில் ஐஸ்வரியவான் ஆபிரகாமிடம் லாசருவை அனுப்பி "விரலின் நுனியை தண்ணீரில் தோய்த்து, என் நாவைக்குளிரப்பண்ணும்படி அவனை அனுப்பவேண்டும், இந்த அக்கினி ஜீவாலையில் வேதனைப்படுகிறேனே"( லூக்.16:24) என்று கேட்டான். பூமியில் இருக்கும் போதுள்ள காரியங்கள் ஞாபகம் இருந்து."அவன் சகோதர் 5 பேரும் இந்த பாதாளத்துக்கு வராமல் காப்பாற்றப்பட லாசருவை பூமிக்கு அனுப்பி அவர்களுக்கு சாட்சியாக அறிவிக்கக் கேட்டான்".( லூக்.16:27)
வருந்தப்படதக்க விஷயம் என்னவென்றால், மரணத்திற்குப் பிறகு ஒன்றையும் மாற்ற முடியாது. அது முத்திரிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது. பாதாளத்தில் இருப்பவர்கள் மீண்டும் உலகுக்கோ, பரதீசுக்கோ போகமுடியாது.
9. மரணம் - நித்திரை
புதிய ஏற்பாட்டில் அனேக இடங்களில் மரணத்தை' நித்திரை' என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இது உடலின் நிலமையைக் குறிக்கிறது. 'ஆவி' தூங்குவதில்லை. சரீரம்தான் தூங்கமுடியும்.
இந்த சரீரத்தை விட்டு தேவனோடு இருப்பதை அப்போஸ்தலன் பவுல் விரும்பினான். பவுலும் தேவனுடைய நாளில் ஆவிக்குள்ளாகி எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டதை எழுதியிருக்கிறான். அங்கு இயேசு, ஆபிரகாம், இரட்சிக்கப்பட்ட அனைவரும், தேவ தூதர்களும் இருப்பார்கள். பெத்தானியாவில் மரித்த லாசரு மற்ற பரிசுத்தவான்களோடு பரதீசில் இருந்தான். இயேசு "லாசருவே வெளியே வா" என்று உரத்த சத்தமாய் கூப்பிட்டபோது, அவன் சரீரமும் ஆவியும் இணைந்து கல்லறையில் இருந்து வெளியே வந்தான். அழுகி மண்ணுக்கு மண்ணாய் போன அவன் சரீரமும் ஆவியும் ஒன்றிணைந்து மீண்டும் வாழ்ந்தான். இயேசு, இதுதான் உயித்தெழுதல் என்று மக்களுக்குக் காண்பித்தார்.
10. உயிர்த்தெழ தகுதியாவோம்
கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் பிள்ளையாகும்போது தேவனது குடும்பத்தில் பிறக்கிறோம். இயேசுவை இரட்சகராக ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட அனைவரும் அவரது பிள்ளை ஆகிறோம். அவரது இரண்டாம் வருகையில் நாம் உயிர்த்தெழுவோம். மண்ணுக்கு மண்ணான நமது உடலும், பரதீசிலுள்ள நமது ஆவியும் ஒன்றிணைந்து- உயிர்த்தெழுந்து, மத்திய ஆகாயத்தில் இயேசுவை சந்தித்து நித்திய நித்திய காலமாக வாழ்வோம்.
