Moses - A shadow of Jesus.

When Jesus appears at the Second Coming,  "We shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is" (1 John 3:2). So we should be like Jesus to be found with Him at His coming. Many people of God in the Old Testament lived like Jesus. 

Deuteronomy 18:15  Moses said to the Israelites, “The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear.” Jesus' shadow was seen in many things in Moses' life. 

In Acts 3:22-24, Peter quoted this in the temple in Jerusalem and told the people, "This Jesus is the prophet who raised up like Moses," and asked them to listen to him. If we examine the life of Moses, we can see that the likeness of Jesus was reflected in him.

1. The Israelites were slaves of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, when Moses was born. Similarly, when Jesus was born as a man in Bethlehem, the Israelites were slaves to Caesar. 
2. At the time of Moses' birth, King Pharaoh had commanded the midwives, "If it is a male child, kill him " (Exodus 1:16).  Similarly, when Jesus was born, King Herod decreed that "every male under two years of age should be put to death." 
3. They made a box of reeds (which are grasses), put Moses in it, and placed him by the river (Exodus 2:3). When baby Jesus was born, they laid the manger where the grasses were kept (Luke 2:12).
4. Moses was raised in Egypt. Jesus was also raised in Egypt. (Matt. 2:15).
5. Moses' mother, Jochebed, became Moses' foster mother. Mary became the foster mother of Jesus, the Son of God. 
6. When he was growing up, Moses was the son of a slave and the son of a king. Jesus was the son of Mary and the Son of God. 
7. After 400 years of slavery in Egypt, Moses was born to save the Israelites. 400 years after the Old Testament Malachi, Jesus was born to save the people of the world.
8. Moses “Refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter"  of Egypt. (Hebrews 11:24), became an ordinary slave man, and became the savior of Israel. Jesus was the Son of God, “Taking the form of a bondservant and coming in the likeness of men.” (Philippians 2:7). He became the Savior of the people of the world. 
9. Both Moses and Jesus had great wisdom and knowledge. 
10. God bore witness to the fact that Moses was faithful to God. (Numbers 12:7). It is written that Jesus Christ is faithful as the Son above the house of God" (Hebrews 3:6). 
11. When Moses was late coming down from the mountain, the people rejected him away and made other gods. (Exodus 32:1). People rejected Jesus in front of Pilate and asked for Barabbas to be released instead of Jesus. 
12. Moses's brother and sister, Miriam and Aaron, spoke against him because of the Ethiopian woman whom Moses had married. Jesus' brothers and sisters spoke against Jesus. ( John 7:5)
13. Moses and Jesus prayed for forgiveness of people's sins. 
14. Moses begged for the forgiveness of those who had made the calf. (Exodus 32:31,32) Jesus also prayed on the cross, "Father, forgive them."  (Luke 23:34)
15. Moses and Jesus spoke to God face to face. 
16. Moses sent  12 men to spy out the land of Canaan. (Numbers 13:4-16) Jesus also sent  12 apostles  to preach the gospel to the Israelites (Mathew 10:1)
17. Moses appointed 70 more men. (Exodus 24:1). Jesus also appointed 70  more. (Luke 10:1)
18. Through Moses, Aaron and his sons were anointed to the priesthood. (Leviticus 12). John the Baptist, a descendant of Aaron's family, led Jesus to anointment on the river Jordan before he began his ministry. (John 1:33).
19. Moses fasted for   40 days and nights to receive the  10 commandments from God at Mount Sinai (Exodus 34:28). Jesus also fasted in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights before preaching on the Mount. 
20.  Moses and the Israelites walked through the sea on dry land (Exodus 14:29). Jesus also walked on the sea as if on dry land. (Matt. 14:25)
21. Moses turned Egypt's waters into blood. (Exodus 7:20). Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding house in Canaan. (John 2:9).
22. Moses' face shone as he spoke to God face to face  (Exodus 34:29). Jesus' face shone like the sun on the Mount of Transfiguration. (Matt. 17:2)
23. Moses saved the people of Israel from slavery through the Passover goat ordinance. Jesus transformed himself into the Passover lamb and saved the entire world from the slavery of sin. 
24.  Moses and Jesus performed many unnatural miracles. 
25.  Moses fed the people with manna. Jesus also fed people by multiplying the loaves of bread and fishes. 
26. Moses' ministry ended in the Jordan. Jesus' ministry began in the Jordan. 
27. And Moses set the fiery serpent upon the pole in the wilderness,  and said, Behold, those who look upon it shall live. (Numbers 21:8). Jesus hung on the cross as a symbol of the redemption of sin. Those who look to the cross will live. 
28. Moses was called when he was a shepherd in the wilderness. Jesus said, "I am the Good Shepherd." 
29. When Moses died, Michael, the archangel, was with his body. (Jude 9) In the tomb where Jesus was buried, there were two angels dressed in white. (John 20:12)
30. The tomb of Moses has not been found until this day. Jesus' tomb is still empty. 

Remember the laws of Moses,  400  years before Christ came, Malachi declared and ended the Old Testament. 

Moses, who lived as a shadow of Jesus Christ, was seen speaking to Jesus Christ on the Mount of the Transfiguration. (Mark 9:4).

When we become complete like Jesus and become holy in this worldly life,  we will be transfigured in a moment when Jesus comes and will be taken up with Him. 

If our Christian life ends like this, it is victory.  We will be given a crown of righteousness. 

May God give grace for that.

மோசே - இயேசுவின் நிழலாட்டம்.

இயேசு இரண்டாம் வருகையில் வெளிப்படும் போது " அவர் இருக்கிற வண்ணமாகவே நாம் அவரைத்தரிசிப்பதினால் அவருக்கு ஒப்பாய் இருப்போம் " (1. யோவா.3:2). எனவே இயேசுவின் வருகையில் இயேசுவோடு காணப்பட நாம் அவரைப்போல

ஆகவேண்டும். பழைய ஏற்பாட்டில் பல தேவனுடைய மக்கள் இயேசுவைப்போல வாழ்ந்தார்கள். 

உபா.18:15 - ல் மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களைப்பார்த்து "உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்னைப்போல ஒரு தீர்க்கத்தரிசியை உனக்காக உன் நடுவே உன் சகோதரரிலிருந்து எழும்பப்பண்ணுவார், அவருக்கு செவி கொடுப்பீர்களாக" என்றான். 

மோசேயுடைய வாழ்க்கையில் இயேசுவின் சாயல் அநேக காரியங்களில் காணப்பட்டது. அப்.3:22-24- ல் பேதுரு, எருசலேம் தேவாலயத்தில் வைத்து, இதை மேற்கோள்காட்டி மக்களிடம், "மோசே போல எழும்பப்பண்ணின தீர்கத்தரிசி இந்த இயேசு" என்றும், அவருக்கு செவி கொடுக்கவேண்டுமென்றும் சொன்னான். 

மோசேயின் வாழ்க்கையை நாம் ஆராய்ந்தால் இயேசுவின் சாயல் அவனில் பிரதிபலிப்பதைக் காணலாம்.

1. மோசே பிறக்கும் போது இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்தின் அரசன் பார்வோனுக்கு அடிமைகளாக  இருந்தார்கள். அதுபோல இயேசு மனிதனாகப் பெத்லகேமில் பிறக்கும்போது இஸ்ரவேலர் ரோம அரசனுக்கு அடிமைகளாக இருந்தார்கள். 
2. மோசே பிறப்பின்போதும் பார்வோன் அரசன் " பிறப்பது ஆண்பிள்ளையானால் கொன்று போடுங்கள் " (யாத்.1:16) என்று மருத்துவச்சிகளுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டுடிருந்தான்.  அது போல இயேசு பிறந்தபோது ஏரோது அரசன் " இரண்டுவயதுக்குட்பட்ட எல்லா ஆண்பிள்ளைகளையும் கொலைசெய்ய" கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தான். 
3. மோசேயை ஒரு நாணல் (இது ஒரு புல்) பெட்டி செய்து அதனுள் வைத்து,  நதியோரத்தில் வைத்தார்கள் (யாத்.2:3). குழந்தை இயேசு பிறந்தபோது மாடுகளுக்குப் புல் வைக்கும் முன்னணையில் கிடத்தினார்கள். (லூக்.2:12).
4. மோசே எகிப்தில் வளர்க்கப்பட்டான். இயேசுவும் எகிப்தில் வளர்க்கப்பட்டார். (மத்.2:15).
5. மோசேயின் தாய் யோகெபேத்து மோசேக்கு வளர்க்கும் தாயானாள். மரியாள் தேவகுமாரனாகிய இயேசுவுக்கு வளர்க்கும் தாயானாள். 
6. மோசே, அவன் வளரும்போது அடிமையின் மகனும், அரசனின் மகனுமாய் இருந்தான். இயேசுவும், மரியாளின் மகனும் தேவ குமாரனுமாய் இருந்தார். 
7. 400 வருடம் எகிப்தின் அடிமைத்தனத்திற்குப் பிறகு இஸ்ரவேலரை ரட்சிக்க மோசே பிறந்தான். பழைய ஏற்பாடு மல்கியாவுக்குப்பிறகு 400 வருடங்களுக்குப்பின் உலக மக்களை ரட்சிக்க இயேசு பிறந்தார்.
8. மோசே, எகிப்தின் "பார்வோன் மகளின் மகன் என்னப்படுவதைத் துறந்து," (எபி.11:24), சாதாரண அடிமை மனிதனாகி இஸ்ரவேலின் ரட்சகரானான். இயேசுவும் தேவனுடைய குமாரனாய் இருந்தும் மனிதனாக அடிமையின் ரூபமெடுத்தார் (பிலி.2:7). உலக மக்களின் ரட்சகரானார். 
9. மோசே,இயேசு, இரண்டு பேருமே அதிக ஞானத்திலும், அறிவிலும் தேறியிருந்தார்கள். 
10. மோசே, தேவனுக்கு உண்மையுள்ளவனாக இருந்தான் என்று   தேவன் சாட்சி கொடுத்தார். (எண்.12:7). இயேசுக் கிறிஸ்துவோ - தேவனுடைய வீட்டிற்கு மேற்பட்டவரான குமாரனாக உண்மையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்" (எபி.3:6). என்று எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. 
11.  மோசே மலையில் இருந்து இறங்கிவரத்தாமதமான போது, மக்கள், அவனைத் தள்ளிவிட்டு வேறே தெய்வங்களை உண்டுபண்ணினார்கள்.(யாத்.32:1). பிலாத்து முன்பு இயேசுவுக்குப்பதில் பரபாசை விடுதலைபண்ணக் கேட்டார்கள். 
12. மோசேயை அவனது சகோதரனும், சகோதரியும் - மிரியாமும், ஆரோனும், மோசே திருமணம் பண்ணின எத்தியோப்பிய பெண்ணினிமித்தம் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாக பேசினார்கள்.(எண்.12:1). இயேசுவின் சகோதரரும் சகோதரிகளும் இயேசுவுக்கு விரோதமாய் பேசினார்கள். (யோவா.7:5)
13. மோசேயும், இயேசுவும் மக்களின் பாவமன்னிப்புக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்தார்கள். 
14. மோசே கன்றுக்குட்டி செய்தவர்களின் மன்னிப்புக்காக மன்றாடினான். (யாத்.32:31,32). இயேசுவும் "பிதாவே இவர்களுக்கு மன்னியும்" என்று சிலுவையில் வேண்டினார். (லூக்.23:34)
15. மோசேயும், இயேசுவும் தேவனோடு முகமுகமாய் பேசினார்கள். 
16. மோசே கானான் நாட்டை வேவுபார்க்க 12 பேரை அனுப்பினான். (எண்.13: 4-16).  இயேசுவும் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு சுவிசேஷம் சொல்ல 12 அப்போஸ்தலர்களை அனுப்பினார்  (மத்.10:1)
17. மேலும் 70 பேரை மோசே நியமித்தான். (யாத்.24:1). இயேசுவும் மேலும் 70 பேரை நியமித்தார். (லூக்.10:1)
18. மோசே மூலம் ஆரோனும் அவன் மகன்களும் ஆசாரிய ஊழியத்துக்கு அபிஷேகம் பண்ணப்பட்டார்கள். (லேவி.12). ஆரோனின் குடும்பத்தில் வந்த மகன்-யோவான் ஸ்நானன் இயேசுவை  அவர் ஊழியம் ஆரம்பிக்குமுன் அபிஷேகத்துக்கு, யோர்தானில் வழிநடத்தினான். (யோவா.1:33).
19. மோசே, தேவனிடத்தில், சீனாய் மலையில் 10 கட்டளைகளைப் பெறுவதற்காக இரவும், பகலும் 40 நாட்கள் உபவாசம் இருந்தான். (யாத். 34:28). இயேசுவும் மலையில், மலைப்பிரசங்கம் செய்யுமுன் இரவும்  பகலும் 40 நாட்கள் வனாந்திரத்தில் உபவாசம்  இருந்தார். 
20. மோசேயும் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களும் கடலினுள் "வெட்டாந்தரையின்" வழியாய் நடந்தார்கள் (யாத்.14:29). இயேசுவும் கடலின் மேல் வெட்டாந்தரையில் நடப்பது போல நடந்தார். (மத்.14:25)
21. மோசே எகிப்தின் நீர்நிலைகளின் தண்ணீரை ரத்தமாக மாற்றினான். (யாத்.7:20)  இயேசு கானான் ஊர் கல்யாண வீட்டில் தண்ணீரை திராட்ச ரசமாக்கினார். ( யோவா.2:9).
22. தேவனோடு முகமுகமாய் பேசிய மோசேயின் முகம் பிரகாசித்தது .(யாத்.34:29). மறுரூப மலையில் இயேசுவின் முகம் சூரியனைப்போல பிரகாசித்தது. (மத்.17:2).
23. மோசே பஸ்கா ஆடு நியமத்தின் மூலம் அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களை ரட்சித்தான். இயேசு தான் பஸ்கா ஆடாக மாறி உலக  மக்கள் அனைவரையும் பாவ அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து ரட்சித்தார். 
24. மோசேயும், இயேசுவும், இயற்கைக்கு மாறாக அநேக அற்புதங்களைச் செய்தார்கள். 
25. மோசே மன்னா கொடுத்து மக்களைப் போஷித்தான்.  இயேசுவும் அப்பங்களையும், மீன்களையும் பெருகச்செய்து மக்களை போஷித்தார். 
26.  மோசேயுடைய ஊழியம் யோர்தானில் முடிந்தது.  இயேசுவின் ஊழியம் யோர்தானில் ஆரம்பமானது. 
27. மோசே  கொள்ளிவாய் சர்ப்பத்தை வனந்திரத்தில் கம்பத்தின் மேல் வைத்து, அதை நோக்கிப்பார்பவர்கள் பிழைப்பார்கள் என்றான். (எண்.21:8). இயேசு பாவத்தின் மீட்பின் அடையாளமாக சிலுவை மரத்தில் தொங்கினார். சிலுவையை நோக்கிப்பார்த்தவர்கள் பிழைப்பார்கள். 
28. மோசே வனந்திரந்தில் ஆடு மேய்க்கும் மேய்பனாக அழைக்கப்பட்டான்.  இயேசு " நானே நல்ல மேய்ப்பன் " என்றார். 
29.  மோசே மரிக்கும் போது பிரதான தூதன் மிகாவேல் அவன் சரீரத்தண்டை இருந்தான். (யூதா-9).  இயேசுவை அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்ட கல்லறையில் இரண்டு தூதர்கள் வெள்ளுடை அணிந்தவர்களாய் இருந்தார்கள். (யோவா.20:12)
30. இந்த மோசேயின் கல்லறை இந்த நாள்வரைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்படவில்லை.(உபா.34:6). இயேசுவின் கல்லறை இன்றும் காலியாக இருக்கிறது. 

மோசேயின் பிரமாணங்களை நினைவில் வைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள் என்று கிறிஸ்து வருவதற்கு 400 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு மல்கியா தீர்கத்தரிசி பழைய ஏற்பாட்டை  முடிக்கிறான். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து போல அவரது நிழலாய் வாழ்ந்த மோசே மறுரூப மலையில்  இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவோடு பேசுகிறவனாகக் காணப்பட்டான். (மாற்.9:4).

நாம் இயேசு போல பூரண வளர்ச்சி அடைந்தவர்களாய் இந்த உலக வாழ்க்கையில் பரிசுத்தமாய் மாறும்போது, இயேசு வருகையில் ஒரு நொடிப்பொழுதில் மறு ரூபம் அடைந்து அவரோடு எடுத்துக் கொள்ளப்படுவோம். 

நமது கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்க்கை இவ்வாறு முடியுமென்றால்  அதுதான் வெற்றி.  நமக்கு நீதியின் கீரீடம் கொடுக்கப்படும். 

தேவன் நமக்குக் கிருபை அருளுவாராக.
